How does chlorine dioxide measurement with JUMO sensors work?

Our sensors work on an amperometric basis. This means that chlorine dioxide is electrochemically converted at a measuring electrode - the resulting current is directly proportional to the concentration of chlorine dioxide in the water. This gives you exact real-time values for the concentration in your process medium.

Thanks to the special sensor design with working electrode, counter electrode and - depending on the type - also reference electrode, the JUMO sensors offer a high selectivity to chlorine dioxide. Interference from other oxidizing agents such as free chlorine or ozone is effectively suppressed.

JUMO sensors: Precision for your water quality

The JUMO sensors work with an amperometric measuring principle in which chlorine dioxide is electrochemically converted at the measuring electrode. The current generated is a direct measure of the current concentration in the water. This provides you with reliable real-time data on the basis of which you can precisely regulate your dosing.
