Silberharz gegen Stillstands Verkeimung
Filter products
Silver resin is ideal for preventing the colonisation and proliferation of bacteria or microorganisms. Thanks to the silver in the resin, this effect is maintained even after normal backwashing and regeneration. The silver resin (equivalent to BIORESIN BW 05) is a special resin for water softening systems. It ensures that bacteria or microorganisms cannot colonise the resin bed, even if the system is only passing a small amount of water or is at a standstill. The resin contains firmly bound silver, which exerts a natural antibacterial effect without affecting the taste or smell of the water. How the silver resin works Within a water softening system, the resin removes minerals such as calcium and magnesium from the water. If the water does not flow for a prolonged period, bacteria can colonise the system. The silver contained in the resin inhibits the proliferation of these microbes directly within the resin bed. This keeps the resin clean and hygienic without the need for additional chemical disinfection. The resin is not approved for use with drinking water in the EU (exception: Switzerland). Key benefits Reliably protects the resin bed from microbial colonisation, particularly at low flow rates or when the system is idle Remains effective even after normal backwashing and regeneration, as the silver is firmly bound No adverse effect on the taste or smell of the water Reduces the need for expensive chemical disinfectants or disinfection systems Easy to retrofit into existing water softening systems
The silver resin prevents bacteria from settling and multiplying. Ideal for water softeners where disinfection must not alter the taste or smell of the water. The silver resin (equivalent to BIORESIN BW 05) is a special resin for water softeners. It prevents bacteria or other microbes from multiplying in the resin bed when the system is not in use for a prolonged period. The resin contains bound silver, which has a natural antibacterial effect without altering the taste or smell of the water. It is particularly useful for systems that only supply water occasionally or are left idle from time to time, as germs might otherwise accumulate. How the silver resin works The silver in the resin prevents bacteria from settling and multiplying in the resin bed. The resin can also be integrated into existing water softening systems and remains effective even after normal rinsing or salting during regeneration. Silver resin does not replace drinking water disinfection as required by law and must therefore not be used for direct drinking water treatment. Advantages at a glance Reliably protects the resin bed from germs, particularly during periods of low usage or downtime Can be easily incorporated into existing systems Remains effective for a long time, even after normal flushing or regeneration Does not affect the taste or smell of the water Saves effort and costs associated with chemical disinfection
The silver resin prevents bacterial growth and does not affect the taste or smell of the water. Thanks to the silver resin, chemical disinfection is not necessary. The silver resin (equivalent to BIORESIN BW 05) is a special resin for water softening systems that prevents the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms in the resin bed, particularly at low water flow rates or when the system is left idle for long periods. Silver is dissolved in the resin, providing a natural antibacterial effect without altering the taste or smell of the water. How silver resin works The silver in the resin prevents bacteria from easily colonising and multiplying in the ion exchange bed. This effect is maintained even when the water softener is backwashed or regenerated as normal, as the silver is not simply washed out. Furthermore, silver resin can be easily installed in existing systems. Silver resin is not approved as a drinking water disinfectant in the legal sense and may therefore not be used for direct drinking water treatment in the EU (exception: Switzerland). Key properties and benefits It reliably prevents recontamination of the resin during low flow rates or when the water is at a standstill Is not washed out by the usual backwashing or salting during regeneration Does not affect the taste or smell of the treated water No chemical disinfection required Low maintenance and can also be retrofitted into existing systems
