Overview of operating modes
  • CONSTANT  - The dosing pump doses with an adjustable, constant dosing quantity. The quantity is set in l/h, strokes/minute, or strokes/h (for very small dosing quantities). The pump is controlled either via the digital input "INPUT" (which in this case has a start/pause or standby function), or via the power supply. switched on and off via the power supply.
  • DIVISOR - A pulse generator connected to the universal input "INPUT" (e.g. contact water meter) gives pulses to the dosing pump in proportion to the water flow. These pulses are divided by the programmed (divided) by the programmed value and thus determine the stroke frequency or the delivery rate.
  • MULTIPLICATOR - A pulse generator (e.g. contact water meter) connected to the universal input "INPUT" sends pulses to the dosing pump proportional to the water flow. pulses to the dosing pump in proportion to the water flow. These pulses are multiplied by the programmed value and thus determine the stroke frequency or the delivery rate.
  • PPM [mg/l] - A pulse generator (e.g. contact water meter) connected to the universal input "INPUT" sends pulses to the dosing pump proportional to the water flow. pulses to the dosing pump in proportion to the water flow. With the pulses and the programmed "PPM" value, the electronics calculate the stroke frequency for dosing proportional to the water flow. For this the impulse rate of the contact water meter (in imp./ltr. or ltr./imp.), as well as the stroke volume (depending on the local system pressure) must be set.
  • PERCENT [%] - A pulse generator (e.g. contact water meter) connected to the universal input "INPUT" gives pulses to the dosing pump proportional to the water flow. pulses to the dosing pump in proportion to the water flow. With the pulses and the programmed The electronic system uses the pulses and the programmed "PERCENT" value to calculate the stroke frequency for dosing in proportion to the water flow. For this, the pulse rate of the contact water meter (in imp./ltr. or ltr./imp.), as well as the stroke volume (depending on the local system pressure) must also be set.
  • BATCH - The pump doses a programmed quantity. The quantity can be set in millilitres (ml) or as a number of dosing strokes. can be set. The pump can be started either manually via the front keys, by an external pulse generator via the universal input "INPUT", or via a programmable time interval (countdown).
  • mA - The stroke frequency of the pump - and thus the dosing capacity - is controlled by an external current signal (0-20 mA). signal. The signal transmitter is connected to the universal input "INPUT".
  • Volt - The stroke frequency of the pump - and thus the dosing capacity - is controlled by an external voltage signal (0-10 volts). The signal transmitter is connected to the universal input "INPUT".

emec VMS pump service Set K - PP pump head, EPDM seal and PTFE diaphragm
Product number: 896354
Pump head and seal material: D = PP pump head with EPDM seal | Selection service set (pump head model / size): K
The emec service set for the VMS MF pump consists of the pump head, including sealing ring and a diaphragm, which is the same for all versions of the pump and is made of PTFE.Our service sets are available in the versions J and K. The only difference is the size of the pump head, which varies depending on the pressure and flow rate. The second choice on your part determines the material of the pump head and the material of the sealing ring. The correct selection of the service set, i.e. the correct selection of the pump head size as well as the pump head and seal material, can easily be made via your VMS pump type plate as follows. 1. On the type plate of your VMS pump you will find the pressure "bar xxx - PSI xxx" above the serial number and then the pump capacity "l/h xxx - gph xxx". With these two indications you can easily determine the correct pump head size (J, K).(see example picture of type plate in the article) Version J 5 bar / 1 litre per hour 10 bar / 1 litre per hour 20 bar / 1 litre per hour Version K 1 bar / 16 litres per hour 2 bar / 15 litres per hour 3 bar / 10 litres per hour 4 bar / 8 litres per hour 5 bar / 10 litres per hour 5 bar / 12 litres per hour 7 bar / 6 litres per hour 10 bar / 4 litres per hour 10 bar / 5 litres per hour 10 bar / 10 litres per hour 15 bar / 2 litres per hour 15 bar / 4 litres per hour 15 bar / 5 litres per hour 18 bar / 2 litres per hour 18 bar / 4 litres per hour 2. On the type plate you will find hidden in the "code" the reference to the pump head mounted at delivery and its sealing material. The ninth character indicates the sealing material. (see example picture of the type plate in the article) The most common types are listed below and these are shown via our selection matrix: K = PVDF pump head with Viton seal D = PP pump head with EPDM seal Service set contents: PVDF pump head with Viton seal:1x pump head (dosing head) incl. seal 1x PTFE diaphragm - Stainless steel screws and caps PP pump head with EPDM seal:1x pump head (dosing head) incl. seal 1x PTFE diaphragm  - Stainless steel screws and caps
