Water sterilisation by UV irradiation
The development of water sterilisation using UV radiation has made considerable progress in recent years due to its simplicity and efficiency. The UV-C rays generated, which are significantly more intense than sunlight, are therefore used to disinfect water in order to counteract water contamination. They make it possible to remove legionella, microbes, bacteria, viruses and protozoa while respecting the environment. The irradiation process is therefore an ideal solution for killing microorganisms in water and helps to make it drinkable from a bacteriological point of view. However, it is important to note that water is only considered drinking water once the chemical parameters have been checked and deemed satisfactory.
Applications - Origin of the water
Rainwater: UV treatment extends the range of applications and offers increased safety during use
Well water: Avoidance of possible contamination by pathogens
Tap water: UV treatment extends the area of application and increases safety.
Spring water, surface water: Guarantees constant water quality that is flawless from a bacteriological point of view.
Storage water in containers (caravan, boat...): Use of stored water for sanitary purposes.

Frequently asked questions
The system is used for chemical-free disinfection of drinking water. It sustainably reduces germs, viruses and bacteria, thereby also reducing the formation of biofilm.
The systems are used both in the drinking water inlet of buildings and in storage tanks for fixed or mobile applications.
Yes, this is easily possible. You can find the appropriate replacement lamp under the spare parts for the product.
Please note which type of lamp is installed. We offer 25 watt and 40 watt lamps.
The part should be replaced at least once a year to ensure optimum performance. After that, the performance decreases and the device is no longer able to kill germs and bacteria effectively.
The device can also be ordered as a ‘Trio’ version. This is a useful package consisting of UV irradiation and particle and activated carbon filters.
The filters help to remove any remaining particles and odours from the water. This ensures that your water system is optimally protected.
