The Duroval C Indicator 8 ml refill pack is a liquid colour indicator for use with your Duroval C test kit. It makes the point at which the reaction has finished visible, allowing you to read the carbonate hardness value.

Why the liquid indicator is important
To determine the carbonate hardness or the m-value (acid capacity up to pH 4.3; KS 4.3) in all natural and industrial water samples by titration using a liquid titrant. The indicator is a crucial part of the measurement method, as it is only through its colour change that it is possible to recognise when the chemical endpoint of the titration has been reached. Without this colour change, it would be difficult to determine the carbonate hardness value.
