H2Omtap4000 antibacterial terminal water filter for taps

Product number: 850052

Product information "H2Omtap4000 antibacterial terminal water filter for taps"

Intended use

The terminal membrane filters are specially designed to protect consumers from all waterborne pathogens. This is achieved through validated sterile filtration, which leaves the chemical composition of the water unchanged. It is used to prevent nosocomial infections caused by waterborne germs such as Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomona, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella or other pathogens that are common in facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, sports facilities, residential facilities and low or high risk day care centres.

Properties

The housing of the terminal sterile filter, which has been treated, inhibits the development of bacteria and the risk of retrograde contamination, whether through splashing water or direct contact. The flow rate remains constant and at a high level over a period of 92 days. Installation is quick and easy using a quick-release fastener or thread. The H2Ower 4500 has a standard thread (1/2"), allowing it to be fitted directly to the shower hose without additional accessories.

Safe water hygiene in the healthcare sector - with terminal water filters

Safe water hygiene in the healthcare sector - with terminal water filters from HeylNeomeris

Water hygiene plays a key role in sensitive areas such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers and care facilities. Immunocompromised patients in particular are dependent on a germ-free water supply - whether for washing, drinking or medical applications.

The terminal water filter solutions from HeylNeomeris offer decisive protection here: they reliably filter bacteria, legionella and other microbiological contaminants directly at the outlet - i.e. exactly where the water is drawn. This minimizes the risk of nosocomial infections and meets the highest hygiene standards.

Typical areas of application:

  • Washbasins and showers in patient rooms
  • Isolation wards and intensive care areas
  • Sanitary facilities in care facilities
  • Applications in operating theaters and dialysis units

Thanks to their simple installation, reliable filter performance and practical service life, the filters effectively contribute to compliance with hygiene guidelines (e.g. RKI, KRINKO) and increase safety for staff and patients alike.

Hazards due to inadequate water hygiene in the healthcare sector - risks without permanent filters

In medical facilities, water is used daily in numerous processes - from hand washing to direct patient care. Without the use of terminal water filters, there is a significant risk of pathogenic microorganisms reaching the point of use via the pipe system and being released there untreated.

This results in the following possible risks and consequences:

Risk of infection from Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa:

These water-associated germs can grow particularly in stagnant or low-flow water. If they enter the environment via showers or washbasins, there is a risk of serious infections, especially in immunocompromised or ventilated patients - from pneumonia to life-threatening sepsis.

Nosocomial infections:

Hospital infections caused by contaminated water are difficult to detect and often difficult to treat. Without filters, pathogens can be transmitted directly to wounds, mucous membranes or medical devices.

Spread of multi-resistant germs:

Water can act as a vector for multi-resistant pathogens. These germs are resistant to common antibiotics, which severely limits treatment options and increases mortality.

Interruption of hospital operations due to hygiene scandals:

A documented outbreak of germs can lead to the closure of entire wards, isolation of patients and enormous reputational damage - with considerable economic consequences.

Legal and regulatory consequences:

Failure to comply with the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) or the KRINKO guidelines on water hygiene can result in legal action, for example in the event of avoidable infections.

Conclusion:

Without terminal filters, there is a continuous risk of infection at every water withdrawal point. Failure to provide this protection can have fatal consequences for patients, staff and the entire hospital operation.

Terminal water filters are also relevant outside traditional healthcare facilities:

Terminal water filters are not only indispensable in clinics and care facilities. They also offer important protection in sports halls, swimming pools and wellness facilities with high visitor frequency, shower facilities and changing usage cycles. Pathogens can multiply rapidly, especially in warm water zones or poorly flushed pipes - a risk for athletes, children, senior citizens or people with open skin areas.

Protection for irregular use - terminal filters as a safety barrier

In many facilities - from care homes and sports facilities to hotels or seasonally used buildings - taps and showers are not used regularly. This irregular use favors the formation of stagnant water, which creates ideal conditions for the growth of germs such as legionella or pseudomonads.

Without protective measures, these pathogens can multiply unnoticed in the pipe system and be released the next time they are used - with potentially serious health consequences.

The terminal filters from HeylNeomeris offer an effective solution that can be used immediately, as they work directly at the outlet regardless of the frequency of use.

They reliably prevent the release of microbiological contamination - even with stagnant tap water.

They offer temporary protection, for example until a complete flush or renovation is carried out.

Particularly in transitional periods, during renovation work or in areas that are only occupied temporarily, they represent a fast, effective hygiene barrier - without the need for costly structural measures.

In summary, it can be said that without terminal filters, there is a continuous risk of infection at every water withdrawal point - not only in hospitals, but wherever water is used for personal hygiene or medical applications. Failure to provide this protection can have fatal consequences for people and facilities.
