Product information "JUMO diraVIEW 132 (landscape format 48 x 24 mm, 1 x analogue input, 1 x relay, 1 x DI, 1 x DI / DO) "

JUMO diraVIEW 132 – Digital display (Type: 701510/8-0000-23/000)

In this version, the device features a universal analog input that can process different signal types. In addition, two digital inputs are available, one of which can alternatively be used as a logic output.

The JUMO diraVIEW 132 is a compact digital display in landscape format 48 × 24 mm for displaying and monitoring process variables such as temperature, pressure or analog signals. Despite its small design, the device offers a wide range of functions for industrial applications.

The display of measured values and parameters is clearly presented via two 18-segment LCD displays. Additional display elements provide information about switching states and active functions.

Operation is carried out via a membrane keypad with four buttons. Thanks to protection class IP65, the device is also suitable for demanding environmental conditions.

Equipment of this device variant

  • 1 universal analog input
  • 2 digital inputs (digital input 1 can alternatively be used as a logic output)
  • 1 relay output (normally open contact)
  • 1 logic output 0/14 V (alternative to digital input 1)
  • Power supply: AC 110–240 V (+10 / -15 %), 48–63 Hz
  • Display via 2 × 18-segment LCD
  • Compact format: 48 × 24 mm (landscape format)

Functions and possibilities

The diraVIEW 132 combines display, monitoring and simple control functions in a compact device:

  • Min/max value storage for continuous evaluation
  • Hold function for freezing measured values
  • Tare function, also suitable for weighing applications
  • Timer function for time-dependent processes
  • Monitoring of up to 4 limit values with extensive alarm functions

In addition, digital control signals can be flexibly processed and linked.

Signal processing & flexibility

All signals are internally managed via selectors, enabling flexible assignment of inputs and outputs. This allows the device to be individually adapted to different applications.

Interfaces & configuration

The device features a USB device interface for connection to a PC. Parameterization is carried out via the setup program, with which:

  • settings can be created and transferred
  • data can be read out and saved
  • wiring diagrams can be generated automatically

During configuration, the power supply is provided directly via USB.

Advantages and special features

  • universal analog input for flexible applications
  • compact design for confined installation spaces
  • combination of display, monitoring and control
  • versatile functions such as timer, min/max and tare
  • robust design with protection class IP65

Possible application areas

  • monitoring temperature values in heating and cooling processes
  • use in industrial systems with available mains voltage
  • monitoring of pressure or flow values in process systems
  • integration into machine controls for displaying process data
  • limit value monitoring with direct switching via relay
  • use in production environments with continuous power supply
  • visualization of measured values in control cabinets

Detailed overview of the functionalities of the JUMO diraVIEW 132

Signal assignment via selectors

The input signals as well as all internal signals are available in so-called selectors (analog selector, digital selector) for further use within the device. The control signals for the outputs are also assigned via selectors, enabling flexible assignment of signals and functions.

Interfaces

The device features a USB device interface (Micro-B socket on the rear), specifically intended for connection to a PC for use with the setup program. During configuration, the device is powered via this USB interface, so no mains supply is required.

Optionally, an RS485 interface is available for communication with a Modbus master (Modbus RTU mode). The master can transmit up to two analog values and two binary values to the device, which are then used as external input signals. In addition, two analog markers and two digital markers (binary) are available. An optional Ethernet interface is also available, supporting Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII over TCP. The same parameters and process values can be transmitted via this interface as via the RS485 interface.

Power supply

Two power supply variants are available:

  • AC 110 to 240 V
  • AC/DC 20 to 30 V

each 48 to 63 Hz

Electrical connection

Simple and time-saving connection using practical spring-loaded terminals (push-in technology)

Min/max function

Using the min/max function, the lowest and highest measured values are stored and continuously updated. These values can be displayed separately or alternately with the current value. A binary signal allows the stored values to be reset to the current measured value.

Hold function

The hold function freezes the display value, meaning it remains displayed as long as the controlling binary signal is active.

Tare function

The tare function allows the display value to be set to zero, controlled by a binary signal (e.g. in weighing applications). The currently displayed value is added to the tare value each time. Another binary signal can reset the tare value to zero so that the current value is displayed again.

Limit value monitoring

The device features four limit value monitors, each with eight configurable alarm functions. Any analog signal from a selector can be selected for monitoring. The limit values can either be absolute values or dependent on another analog signal. Various special functions are available such as:

  • switch-on/off delay
  • wiper function
  • alarm suppression during startup or parameter changes
  • alarm latching
  • latching with acknowledgement

These extensive functions enable flexible and precise implementation of alarm and limit value functions.

Digital control signals

This function allows configuration of up to 4 digital control signals. The control signal can be formed by AND/OR/XOR linking of up to three selectable binary signals, or a single binary signal can be used as an input signal and output as a pulse, delayed signal, wiper signal or edge-triggered signal. In the latter case, the rising or falling edge of the binary signal is detected and the output signal is activated for the duration of a sampling interval. The output signal can be inverted in all cases.

Timer

After activation, the timer generates an invertible signal for the defined runtime. The timer can also be started after a lead time has elapsed or a tolerance limit has been reached. After the timer expires, a timer end signal can be generated, which is either time-limited or requires acknowledgement. These timer functions enable a wide range of time-dependent processes.

Service counter

The service counter can either count the number of switching operations of a binary signal or measure its operating time. Once the defined limit value is reached, a binary signal is activated that must be acknowledged. In addition, an operating hours counter records the device runtime.

Mathematics and logic function

The optional mathematics and logic function (type extension) allows analog or binary values to be linked. Up to four freely configurable formulas can be created using the setup program. The results are then available in the analog or digital selector for further use.

User-defined level

The user-defined level provides space for up to 16 editable configuration parameters. These parameters can be individually selected in the setup program.

Setup program

The setup program allows data records to be created, edited, transferred to the device and read from it. The data can be saved and printed. It also enables easy creation and printing of wiring diagrams showing the current terminal assignment.

Startup: The startup function allows recording of process variables during commissioning for up to 24 hours. The recorded diagrams are available on the PC and can be used for documentation purposes.

Online data: Current process values of the device are displayed in a separate window.

Custom linearization

Individual linearization allows the use of sensor signals with special characteristics. Programming is carried out in the setup program either via a value table with up to 40 value pairs or via a formula (4th order polynomial). The device supports 2 custom linearizations.

Structured text

With the "Structured Text" option (type extension), users can develop individual applications. These are created using the ST editor within the setup program and use the PLC programming language "Structured Text". After completion, the application is transferred to the device and executed continuously. Online debugger functions are available for troubleshooting and testing.

Using ST code, up to 10 stored text messages can be displayed depending on the application.
