The Neomeris pH buffer solution pH 10.01 is a ready-to-use calibration solution for pH electrodes in the alkaline measurement range. With a reference value of pH 10.01 ± 0.02 at 25 °C, it enables reliable calibration of pH meters wherever high pH values require precise measurement accuracy.

Why are alkaline reference solutions necessary for precise pH calibration?
Alkaline calibration solutions are required to reliably set pH meters and electrodes in the high pH range. Calibration in only the acidic or neutral range is not sufficient when measurements are performed at alkaline pH values.
The pH value does not change linearly across the measurement range. Particularly in the alkaline range, pH electrodes are more sensitive to deviations, aging, or contamination.
