The Horiba LAQUAtwin Salz 4ECSalt-11 is a unique, compact measuring device from HORIBA that combines an electrode, display and sample container in a single unit. This enables simple and effective on-site measurements by taking a direct reading from just a single drop.
Your pocket laboratory: The only pocket-sized meter that directly measures conductivity in a 0.12 ml sample and converts this into salinity or salt concentration. You do not need a beaker to calibrate the meter or measure a sample. Simply place a few drops of the standard solution or sample onto the sensor. This method saves you time and prevents the wastage of your valuable sample.

This ensures that the measured conductivity values are always reliable and meaningful. A practical pack size of 6 x 14 ml of these solutions meets the requirements of the Pocket Tester, as only a few drops are needed for calibration. This pack size helps to reduce waste and increase efficiency during regular calibrations. With these specialised solutions, the HORIBA LAQUAtwin Pocket Testers always deliver accurate and reliable measurement results. Replacement sensor

To ensure that these measurements remain reliable and accurate in the future, it is important to check the sensors regularly and replace them with replacement sensors when necessary. The replacement sensors developed for the HORIBA LAQUAtwin series include various types for different measurements: pH, conductivity, salinity, redox (ORP), as well as ion-selective sensors for sodium, potassium, nitrate, calcium and fluoride. These sensors have all been developed with the aim of maximising the user-friendliness and precision for which HORIBA is renowned worldwide in water quality testing. HORIBA’s replacement sensors ensure that users’ instruments always deliver optimum performance and carry out precise measurements. Carefully detach the sensor from the meter and lift the tip of the probe. Disconnect the sensor from the meter so that these two components are no longer connected. Fitting the sensor Switch off the meter. Ensure that the waterproof seal is clean and undamaged. Attach the sensor to the meter by inserting the hook ‘A’ on the back of the meter into the hole ‘a’ at the tip of the sensor. Ensure that the waterproof seal is not twisted. Important: After replacement, it is essential to follow the steps in the user manual for the relevant tester to ensure the meter is ready for accurate measurements. (These instructions are available for our products. Calibration and, where necessary, conditioning are usually required.) Question: How can I check whether my sensor is showing signs of wear? Answer: By checking the sensor’s condition, as explained in more detail below: Check the condition of the sensor by performing a 2-point calibration. If an error occurs during calibration, this indicates that the sensor has deteriorated. In this case, it would be advisable to replace the sensor. To ensure the high standards and reliability of water quality measurements taken with HORIBA LAQUAtwin Pocket testers, regular checks and timely replacement of the sensors are essential. Note: How can I tell if I have an old or new device? If your Pocket Tester is marked ‘4-cell’, you have the latest version of this device. In this case, you will need the replacement sensors listed in the cross-selling section, as well as the standard and conditioning solutions.
