Instructions for replacing the sensor:

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your HORIBA LAQUAtwin Pocket Tester, please follow these instructions when replacing the sensor:

Removing the sensor
  1. Switch off the meter.
  2. Carefully detach the sensor from the meter and lift the tip of the probe.
  3. Disconnect the sensor from the meter so that these two components are no longer connected.
Fitting the sensor
  1. Switch off the meter.
  2. Ensure that the waterproof seal is clean and undamaged.
  3. Attach the sensor to the meter by inserting the hook ‘A’ on the back of the meter into the hole ‘a’ at the tip of the sensor.
  4. Ensure that the waterproof seal is not twisted.
Important:

After replacement, it is essential to follow the steps in the user manual for the relevant tester to ensure the meter is ready for accurate measurements. (These instructions are available for our products. Calibration and, where necessary, conditioning are usually required.)

Question: How can I check whether my sensor is showing signs of wear?

Answer: By checking the sensor’s condition, as explained in more detail below:

Check the condition of the sensor by performing a 2-point calibration. If an error occurs during calibration, this indicates that the sensor has deteriorated. In this case, it would be advisable to replace the sensor.

To ensure the high standards and reliability of water quality measurements taken with HORIBA LAQUAtwin Pocket testers, regular checks and timely replacement of the sensors are essential.

How can I tell if I have an old or new device?

If your Pocket Tester is marked ‘4-cell’, you have the latest version of this device. In this case, you will need the replacement sensors listed in the cross-selling section, as well as the standard and conditioning solutions. These have been specially optimised for the new Pocket Testers and are not suitable for older models.
