The Polyamine Test Kit K 26 is a manual test set for determining polyamines in water. This polyamine test kit is a titration set.
Color comparison for polyamines – simple and direct
The test kit for polyamine determination works according to the principle of titration. With this test kit, you can visibly measure the polyamine levels in your water samples. All polyamine test kits use a pipette with a measurement range of 0–60 mg/l and a resolution of 1 mg/l. A second pipette filling can be added if needed, which corresponds to a measurement range of up to 120 mg/l for K26.
Test procedure – Part 1
- Remove the glass tube from the test kit and fill it with the water sample up to the graduation mark.
- Add reagent C until the bottom of the tube is completely covered (approx. 25 drops).
- Then add 2 drops of reagent A and 2 drops of reagent B.
- Seal the glass tube with the screw cap and shake vigorously.
- Then wait until the solution in the glass tube separates into two layers.
Evaluation:
- Bottom layer colorless: no polyamines present
- Bottom layer blue: polyamines present
