The LOGOSCREEN 601 clearly displays process states and supports reliable, tamper-proof process data acquisition. This makes the device particularly suitable wherever measured values need to be documented, limit values monitored, and processes stored in a traceable manner.
JUMO LOGOSCREEN 601 – Screen recorder with touchscreen (Type: 706521/08-100-23/000)
The JUMO LOGOSCREEN 601 is a modern screen recorder for the graphical display, monitoring, and secure recording of process data. Thanks to its intuitive touch operation, extensive interfaces, and versatile inputs and outputs, the device is suitable for numerous industrial applications in which measured values must not only be recorded and documented, but also further processed.
In this version, the screen recorder also features 3 analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, and 1 analog output. This means the device can be used not only for pure data acquisition, but can also be integrated much more flexibly into existing systems and control concepts. In addition to local visualization on the device, this also enables signals to be forwarded to higher-level systems or other process components.
Equipment of this device variant
This version of the JUMO LOGOSCREEN 601 is equipped with the following features:
- Power supply: AC 110 to 240 V (+10 / -15 %), 48 to 63 Hz
- 1 Ethernet interface
- 2 USB interfaces
- 1 x USB host
- 1 x USB device
- 1 RS232/RS485 interface
- 1 relay output (changeover contact)
- 3 analog inputs
- 6 digital inputs
- 1 analog output
- integrated web server for online visualization
- no additional options 2 and 3 assigned
- basic type extension: without software package
Operation and configuration
Operation of the screen recorder is carried out directly via the integrated touchscreen. The menu is structured with symbols and is therefore clear and user-friendly. Important settings and visualizations can be accessed and adjusted quickly.
In addition, the device has an integrated user management system that allows access rights to be defined for different users. In the basic version, several users with individual permissions can be created. This supports safe operation in daily use.
Configuration can alternatively be carried out via the setup program on a PC. Among other things, it allows:
- assigning user rights
- adjusting operating languages
- creating process screens
- storing texts for batch logs and visualizations
- backing up and transferring configuration data
The configuration can be transferred via USB or Ethernet. In addition, it is possible to transfer configuration files to the device via USB storage stick.
Visualization and display
The LOGOSCREEN 601 is not only used for recording, but also for the clear display of process data. Measured values, states, and messages can be visualized directly on the device. Various display types are available so that the display can be adapted to different applications.
With the process screen editor in the setup program, individual process screens can be created. This makes it possible to realize plant-specific visualizations that enable the user to orient themselves quickly. Numerous objects such as analog channels, digital channels, texts, or graphics can be integrated into one process screen.
In addition, the LOGOSCREEN 601 is equipped with an integrated web server. This allows process values, messages, and visualizations to also be displayed via a web browser. This makes it easier to access important information without having to work directly on the device.
Interfaces and communication
This device version is equipped with several interfaces as standard and therefore offers versatile options for integration into existing systems.
USB
Two USB interfaces are already available. For example, a USB storage stick can be connected via the USB host interface on the front. The USB device interface on the rear is used for connection to a PC, for example for parameterization or data readout.
Ethernet
The integrated Ethernet interface supports various communication and service functions. These include, among other things:
- communication with PC programs
- use of the integrated web server
- archiving and transfer of data
- time synchronization
- email dispatch
- communication via Modbus
RS232/RS485
The serial interface can be switched between RS232 and RS485. It is suitable for communication with Modbus master or Modbus slave systems. In addition, it can be used, for example, for connecting a barcode scanner.
Via the available interfaces, the screen recorder can also access external inputs. This allows additional analog and digital signals as well as texts for batch logs and events to be transferred.
Inputs and outputs
A key advantage of this variant lies in its extended input/output equipment. The 3 analog inputs enable the acquisition of different measured variables, while the 6 digital inputs can record additional states and control signals.
The integrated analog output makes it possible to forward recorded or processed values to other systems. This is particularly useful when measured data should not only be displayed and stored locally, but also integrated into higher-level control systems or other control loops.
In addition, a relay output with changeover contact is available, which can be used for alarm or switching functions.
Depending on the application, the LOGOSCREEN 601 can therefore be used not only as a recording device, but also as a central display and communication device within a system.
Data recording and storage
The measured values are continuously recorded and further processed. This data forms the basis for:
- recording functions
- limit value monitoring
- reports
- batch logs
- trend evaluations
The data is first collected in the working memory and then transferred to the internal memory. The internal memory operates as a ring memory. This means that when the memory is full, older data is automatically overwritten. At the same time, the device monitors the storage capacity and can output an alarm signal if required.
Stored data can be retrieved directly on the device for history display. Data can be transferred to a PC via USB or Ethernet.
Data security
The LOGOSCREEN 601 is designed for secure and traceable data recording. The data is stored in encrypted form in an internal format. This ensures a high level of data security.
Important data remains protected even in the event of a power failure. Measured data in the working memory and the time are buffered by an integrated battery. Measured and configuration data in the internal memory are retained.
Additional functions such as tamper detection or FDA-compliant data recording are possible with certain type additions, but are not part of this specific version.
Limit value monitoring, reports, and batch logs
The screen recorder supports the monitoring of up to 24 analog values. If defined limit values are exceeded or undershot, an alarm can be triggered. Various settings such as limit value, switching differential, or alarm delay can be adapted to the respective application.
In addition, reports can be created for individual groups, for example for maximum, minimum, or average values. Batch logs can also be recorded. In this case, for example, the start, end, duration, and further information of a batch are documented and stored.
This is a major advantage especially in processes requiring documentation, as procedures can be traced without gaps.
Additional functions of the LOGOSCREEN
The LOGOSCREEN 601 also offers a range of additional options for process monitoring and evaluation:
- integrated user management
- creation of individual process screens
- web server function
- export and archiving of data
- reports and history function
- use of external signals via interfaces
- customer-specific linearization for special sensor signals
Optional additional functions such as flow measurement, high-speed counters, mathematics and logic modules, or structured text are generally possible, but are not part of the standard version described here without the corresponding type additions.
Special features of this variant
This variant of the JUMO LOGOSCREEN 601 is particularly suitable for applications in which, in addition to recording and visualization, additional signals are to be integrated directly. Through the combination of 3 analog inputs, 6 digital inputs, and 1 analog output, the device offers more flexibility than simpler basic versions.
Particularly practical is the combination of:
- intuitive touch operation
- versatile communication via Ethernet, USB, and RS232/RS485
- secure data storage
- flexible signal processing
- graphical visualization directly on the device and via the web server
