The surface-mounted resistance thermometer is suitable for indirect temperature measurement on pipes and other surfaces. Equipped with a Pt100 in two-wire circuit, PTFE connection cable and aluminium protection fitting, this version is especially suitable for quickly mounted surface measurements up to +260 °C.

This version is designed for temperature measurements on surfaces without interfering with the measured object. The surface-mounted resistance thermometer is attached externally to pipelines or other components and is therefore particularly suitable for applications requiring fast installation and indirect temperature detection.

A major advantage of this version is its easy installation. The thermometer can be used on round and flat surfaces and can be mounted, for example, using tension bands or hose clamps. This eliminates the need for mechanical processing of the measuring point. This is particularly practical when retrofitting existing systems or recording temperatures on closed pipe systems.

A Pt100 in two-wire configuration is installed for temperature measurement. Combined with the PTFE connection cable, this version is suitable for temperatures from -50 to +260 °C. This makes it well suited for applications where higher surface temperatures must also be measured reliably. The 2500 mm connection cable provides sufficient flexibility for installation and connection.

The aluminium protection fitting supports efficient heat transfer from the measuring point to the sensor. Together with the low thermal mass, this design provides fast and interference-free surface temperature measurement. Since the temperature is measured indirectly, the measurement remains unaffected by flow conditions, pressure or chemical influences within the medium.

It is important to note that larger temperature differences between the measured medium and the ambient environment can influence the measurement result. In such cases, additional insulation may be beneficial. Thermal paste can also optionally be used to further improve heat transfer at the measuring point.
