Surface-Mounted Resistance Thermometer with Pt100 and Class B according to DIN EN 60751 for Temperature Range -50 to +260 °C
JUMO Surface-Mounted Resistance Thermometer with PTFE Connection Cable, Stainless Steel Protection Fitting Type: 902550/20-386-1003-1-11-2500/000
The surface-mounted resistance thermometer is suitable for indirect temperature measurement on pipes and other surfaces. Equipped with a Pt100 in a two-wire circuit, PTFE connection cable and robust design, this version is especially suitable for quickly mounted surface measurements from -50 to +260 °C.
This version is intended for surface measurements where the temperature should be recorded externally without interfering with the system. The surface-mounted resistance thermometer is therefore particularly suitable for closed pipe systems as well as other round or flat surfaces where fast and uncomplicated temperature measurement is required.

Advantages and Technical Features of the JUMO Surface-Mounted Resistance Thermometer
- temperature measurement without interfering with the system
- quick retrofitting in existing systems possible
- suitable for round and flat surfaces
- simple installation with tension bands or hose clamps
- robust stainless steel protection fitting
The sensor is not inserted into the medium but mounted externally at the measuring point. This is a major advantage when retrofitting is required or when the measuring point must not be mechanically modified. Installation can, for example, be carried out using tension bands or hose clamps and can therefore be integrated easily into existing systems.
For temperature measurement, this version operates with 1× Pt100 in a two-wire circuit. Combined with the PTFE connection cable, the design is suitable for temperatures from -50 to +260 °C. This makes it well suited for applications where higher surface temperatures also need to be measured reliably. The 2500 mm long connection cable provides sufficient flexibility for installation and connection to the evaluation system.
The stainless steel protection fitting makes this version particularly suitable for applications requiring a robust and durable design. At the same time, the construction supports efficient heat transfer from the measuring point to the sensor. Due to the low thermal mass, the surface temperature can be measured quickly without flow, pressure or chemical influences from the medium directly affecting the measurement.
If there are larger temperature differences between the measured medium and the surrounding environment, this may affect the measurement result. In such cases, additional insulation is often beneficial. Thermal paste can also optionally be used to further improve heat transfer at the measuring point.
Typical Applications
- surface measurement on closed pipe systems
- temperature detection on round pipes
- temperature detection on flat components
- retrofitting existing systems
