Neomeris KTW 80 – High-quality, compact water softener system

Soft water offers significantly more comfort:

The Neomeris KTW 80 is a powerful cabinet water softener designed specifically for households with up to eight people. With an inlet water hardness of 10 °dH, it delivers up to 8,000 litres of softened water per regeneration cycle. The proven ion exchange process replaces the calcium and magnesium ions that cause water hardness with sodium ions. This is an effective method of preventing limescale deposits – for sparkling fittings, soft laundry and ideal protection for drinking water equipment.

Product benefits at a glance:

Simple installation and well-thought-out design

Not only its performance, but also its simple installation makes the Neomeris KTW 80 a compelling choice. The compact cabinet housing can be easily placed in any utility room, basement or technical area. The removable cover ensures that all components are easily accessible. This makes installation and maintenance particularly convenient. Inside is a GRP pressure vessel containing a high-quality ion exchange resin. Its service life is expected to exceed 20 years. The housing also serves as a container for salt for brine production and has a capacity of up to 70 kg of regeneration salt. At the heart of the system is the control valve, which uses microprocessor-controlled electronics. Settings can be made quickly and easily via an intuitive 5-button control panel and a multifunction display. The sturdy valve housing (without screws) features a useful click system that makes maintenance work much easier. The KTW 80 is factory-set to volume-controlled regeneration, ensuring optimum performance and economical operation.

Intelligent control with night-time regeneration

An integrated water meter measures actual consumption and ensures that the system is only regenerated when it is actually necessary. Regeneration takes place automatically overnight. A preset reserve capacity ensures that lime-free water is always available, even when the maximum amount of soft water has been reached.

High-efficiency regeneration – automatic and clean

Once the ion exchange resin is completely saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, the system automatically regenerates itself using a concentrated saline solution. During this process, the hardness minerals bound in the resin are rinsed out and replaced with sodium ions. The brine used is drained away – the resin can be reused immediately. An integrated bypass ensures that tap water remains available during this phase. This means that the water supply is fully guaranteed during regeneration.

Automatic hygiene function – protection during longer breaks

To ensure the hygiene of the system, the KTW 80 automatically performs a time-controlled forced regeneration after a maximum of seven days without operation. This function reliably ensures that the resin bed does not become contaminated – perfect for extended holiday periods, for example.

Durable, safe and comfortable

Depending on the hardness of the water and consumption, one salt filling usually lasts three to four months. An integrated float valve with buoy reliably protects the cabinet from flooding. The Neomeris KTW 80 combines state-of-the-art technology with simple operation and maximum operational reliability – for permanently soft water and a significantly improved quality of life throughout the home.

Determine water hardness / Salting

You can check the water hardness in your local area on your water supplier’s website, for example. If you want to be absolutely sure, we’d be happy to supply you with the appropriate water hardness test kit so that you can determine the exact water hardness at your premises. You can find this in our shop under item no. 400007 DUROVAL® 1 drop = 0.1 °dH Drop Count Titration Test. This test kit is already included in the complete set with item no. 400005 Water hardness DUO test kit. Below you will find, for your guidance, sample calculations of the achievable volume of softened water for water hardness levels ranging from 3°dH to 40°dH.

Water softeners can be regenerated using either economy salting or full salting. With full salting, approximately 200 grams of salt are used per litre of softening resin for regeneration. With economy salting, however, only 120 grams are used. Regeneration using full salting fully restores the capacity. With economy salting, 80% of the softened water capacity is restored through regeneration, despite the significantly lower salt requirement. Based on your requirements, you can therefore determine the most suitable system for your needs.

Note: To ensure the water softener operates in a hygienically sound manner, the ion-exchange resin must be regenerated regularly – even if little or no water has been used.

In accordance with DIN EN 806-5 and the requirements of DVGW Worksheet W 510:

The water softener must carry out a regeneration cycle at least every 72 hours (3 days), regardless of water consumption.

This so-called forced regeneration serves to prevent microbial contamination of the ion exchange resin and ensures the long-term hygienic safety of the system.

DC piston for WS1.00, full view, orange
Piston direct current for WS1.00 KTW
Article number: 882076

The standard control piston for your Clack WS1.00 KTW valve The central moving element of the standard Clack WS1 control valves is the Clack V3011-KTW control piston. This piston, which comes as a complete assembly with all pre-installed seals, is the most important wearing part of the valve. It is designed for the standard regeneration method using the direct current process (downflow) and precisely controls all cycles from salting to rinsing. Position of the piston and its function The piston located in the control box is connected to the gearbox and the main gears, which are turned by the motor. The gears turn, causing the piston to move forward in a horizontal plane and come to a stop at specific points. The flow in the control valve is directed to a specific operation by moving the piston to different positions. The piston for clack control valves is cylindrical and can be operated at ultra-high pressure. The answer to the most common problems with valves The seals on the control piston are subject to natural wear and tear after thousands of regenerations and many years of operation. This is the most common cause of problems such as a continuous flow of water to the sewer, salty soft water after regeneration, or inefficient system performance. To eliminate internal leaks and restore full valve functionality, a professional and sustainable solution is to replace the entire piston assembly. Complete set for an easy overhaul This piston assembly is supplied as a ready-to-install unit with all critical seals and spacers already fitted. This guarantees simple and reliable repair without the tedious work of replacing small individual sealing rings. Piston rings and seals for WS1.00 KTW
Article number: 882077

Clack seal and spacer set for WS 1.00 KTW, WS 1.25 KTW, and WS 1.50 KTW The seal kit for your Clack WS 1.00 KTW, WS 1.25 KTW, and WS 1.50 KTW valves The Clack Seal and Spacer Kit V3005-02-KTW is the second essential wear parts kit required for a complete and sustainable overhaul of your control valve. The control piston is the moving part, while this kit forms the stationary “cylinder liner” in the valve housing. These seals are crucial for the precise separation of the different water paths during regeneration. The perfect complement to piston replacement The seals used in the valve housing can harden, wear out, or become damaged by dirt particles after prolonged use. This causes internal leaks, which produce the same symptoms as a worn piston: constant water flow to the waste water, reduced performance, or salty soft water. When replacing the control piston, it is strongly recommended that you also replace the V3005-02-KTW seal kit to ensure a professional and permanent repair. Complete set for easy installation The seal kit is supplied as a pre-assembled unit in which all sealing rings and spacers are already correctly arranged. This allows for easy and error-free “push-in” installation in the cylinder valve housing. This set is an indispensable standard replacement part for households with a water softener system with a Clack valve, as it is highly compatible with the WS 1.00 KTW, WS 1.25 KTW, and WS 1.50 KTW valve series. Areas of application Complete overhaul of Clack WS 1.00 KTW, WS 1.25 KTW, and WS 1.50 KTW valves Elimination of internal leaks and continuous discharge into wastewater When replacing the control piston, this component is normally also replaced Valve regains precise hydraulic control Characteristics Manufacturer: Clack Corporation Variant: Complete, stationary seal and spacer kit Function: Seals the chambers in the main valve cylinder Material: High-quality EPDM seals and low-wear plastic spacers Compatibility: Universally compatible with Clack WS 1.00, WS 1.25, and WS 1.50 control valves Manufacturer's product number: V3005-02-KTW
