Product information "JUMO diraVIEW 132 (landscape format 48 x 24 mm, 1 x analogue input, 1 x relay, 1 x DI, 1 x DI / DO) "

This version is designed for low-voltage operation and can be flexibly supplied with AC/DC 20 to 30 V. This allows the device to be ideally integrated into corresponding power supply concepts.

JUMO diraVIEW 132 – Digital Indicator (Type: 701510/8-0000-25/000, Low Voltage)

The JUMO diraVIEW 132 is a compact digital indicator in horizontal format 48 × 24 mm for displaying and monitoring process variables such as temperature, pressure, or analog signals. Thanks to its small size, the device is particularly suitable for applications with limited installation space.

The device features a universal analog input for processing different signal types. In addition, two digital inputs are available, one of which can alternatively be used as a logic output.

The display is provided by two easy-to-read 18-segment LCD displays. Additional display elements provide information about switching states and active functions. Operation is carried out via a membrane keypad with four keys.

Equipment of this device variant

  • 1 universal analog input
  • 2 digital inputs (digital input 1 can alternatively be used as a logic output)
  • 1 relay output (normally open contact)
  • 1 logic output 0/14 V (alternative to digital input 1)
  • Power supply: AC/DC 20–30 V, 48–63 Hz
  • Display via 2 × 18-segment LCD
  • Compact format: 48 × 24 mm (horizontal format)

A detailed overview of the functionalities of the diraVIEW 132

Inputs and outputs

Each device type is equipped with a universal analog input suitable for resistance thermometers, thermocouples, current, voltage, resistance transmitters, and resistance/potentiometer. In addition, each device has one digital input and one switchable digital input/output.

With the exception of type 701510, which has one relay output (normally open contact) as standard, all other types have two relay outputs (normally open contacts). The digital inputs are designed for connection to a floating contact. The digital output provides a logic signal from 0 to 14 V. In addition, the following optional components are available:

  • Relay outputs (normally open contacts)
  • Logic outputs (0 to 14 V)
  • PhotoMOS® relay outputs
  • Analog output (0 to 10 V / 0 to 20 mA)

Certain inputs and outputs cannot be used simultaneously (see notes in the wiring diagram).

Signal assignment via selectors

The input signals as well as all internal signals are available in so-called selectors (analog selector, digital selector) for further use in the device. The control signals for the outputs are also assigned via selectors, allowing flexible assignment of signals and functions.

Interfaces

The device features a USB device interface (Micro-B socket on the rear side), which is specifically intended for connection to a PC running the setup program. During configuration, the device is powered via this USB interface, so no mains supply is required.

An RS485 interface is optionally available for communication with a Modbus master (Modbus RTU operating mode). The master can transfer up to two analog values and two binary values to the device, where they are used as external input signals. In addition, two analog markers and two digital markers (binary) are available.

As a further option, an Ethernet interface is available, supporting the operating modes Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII over TCP. Via this interface, the same parameters and process values can be transferred as via the RS485 interface.

Power supply

Two versions of the power supply are available:

  • AC 110 to 240 V
  • AC/DC 20 to 30 V

In each case 48 to 63 Hz.

Electrical connection

Simple and time-saving connection with practical spring-loaded terminals (push-in technology).

Min./max. function

Using the min./max. function, the lowest and highest measured values are stored and continuously updated. It is possible to display these values separately or alternately together with the current measured value. A binary signal makes it possible to reset the stored values and set them to the current measured value.

Hold function

The hold function “freezes” the value of the indicator, meaning that this value remains displayed as long as the controlling binary signal is active.

Tare function

The tare function allows the indicator value to be set to zero, controlled by a binary signal (for weighing applications). The currently displayed value is added to the tare value each time. A further binary signal can reset the tare value to zero so that the current value is displayed again.

Limit value monitoring

The device has four limit value monitoring functions, each with eight configurable alarm functions. Any analog signal from a selector can be selected for monitoring. The limit values can either be absolute values or dependent on another analog signal.

Various special functions are available, including:

  • Switch-on/switch-off delay
  • Wiper function
  • Alarm suppression during the startup phase or when parameters are changed
  • Alarm latching
  • Self-holding with acknowledgment

These extensive functions enable flexible and precise implementation of alarm and limit value functions.

Digital control signals

This function enables the configuration of up to 4 digital control signals. The control signal is either formed by an AND/OR/XOR link of up to three selectable binary signals, or a single binary signal serves as the input signal and can be output as a pulse-shaped signal, delayed signal, wiper signal, or edge-triggered signal.

In the latter case, the rising or falling edge of the binary signal is detected and the output signal is activated for the duration of one sampling interval. In all mentioned cases, the output signal can be inverted.

Timer

After the timer is activated, an invertible signal is generated for the defined timer duration. The timer can also be started after a lead time has elapsed or a tolerance limit has been reached.

After the timer has expired, a timer end signal can be generated that is either time-limited or requires acknowledgment. These timer functions enable a wide range of time-dependent processes.

Service counter

The service counter can either count the number of switching operations of a binary signal or measure its switch-on duration. As soon as the adjustable limit value is reached, a binary signal is activated that must be acknowledged. In addition, an operating hour counter is available that records the device operating time.

Mathematics and logic function

The optional mathematics and logic function (type addition) allows analog or binary values to be logically linked. Using the setup program, up to four freely configurable mathematics or logic formulas can be created. The results are then available in the analog or digital selector for further use.

Individual user level

The individual user level offers space for up to 16 editable configuration parameters. These parameters can be individually selected in the setup program.

Setup program

With the setup program, data records can be created, edited, transferred to the device, and read back from it. The data can be saved and printed. In addition, the program allows the user to easily create and print a wiring diagram showing the current terminal assignment of the device.

Startup: The startup function enables the recording of process variables during commissioning for up to 24 hours. The recorded diagrams are available on the PC and can, for example, be used for system documentation.

Online data: The current process variables of the device are displayed in a separate window.

Customer-specific linearization

Customer-specific linearization makes it possible to use sensor signals with special characteristics. Programming is carried out in the setup program either by means of a value table with up to 40 value pairs or by means of a formula (4th-order polynomial). The device supports 2 customer-specific linearizations.

Structured text

With the “Structured Text” option (type addition), the user is given the possibility to develop an individual application. This application is created using the ST editor, which is part of the setup program, and uses the PLC programming language “Structured Text”.

Once completed, the application is transferred to the device and executed there continuously. Online debugger functions are available in the ST editor for troubleshooting and testing.

Using the ST code, it is possible to display up to 10 stored text messages depending on the application.
