Product information "Neomeris water softening system KTW 32"
Soft water for noticeably more comfort:
The Neomeris KTW 32 is a powerful cabinet water softener designed specifically for households with up to five people. With an inlet water hardness of 10 °dH, it delivers up to 3,200 litres of perfectly softened water per regeneration cycle. Thanks to the proven ion exchange process, the calcium and magnesium hardness minerals contained in the water are replaced by sodium ions. This effectively prevents limescale deposits – for shiny fittings, soft laundry and optimally protected drinking water equipment.
Product benefits at a glance:
Simple installation and well-thought-out design
The Neomeris KTW 32 impresses not only with its performance, but also with its straightforward installation. The compact cabinet housing can be easily installed in almost any utility room, basement or technical area. The removable cover allows easy access to all components, making installation and maintenance particularly convenient. Inside is a GRP pressure vessel containing a high-quality ion-exchange resin. The housing also serves as a salt storage container for brine production and can hold up to 40 kg of regeneration salt. At the heart of the system is the control valve, which operates using microprocessor-controlled electronics. Settings can be made quickly and easily via an intuitive 5-button control panel and a multifunction display. The robust, screwless valve housing features a practical click system that makes maintenance work considerably easier. The KTW 32 is factory-set to volume-controlled regeneration for optimum performance and economical operation.
Intelligent control with night regeneration
An integrated water meter measures actual consumption and ensures that the system only regenerates when it is really necessary. Regeneration takes place automatically overnight.
Efficient regeneration – automatic and hygienic
When the ion exchange resin is completely saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, the system automatically regenerates itself using a concentrated saline solution. This rinses out the hardness minerals bound in the resin and replaces them with sodium ions. The used brine is drain away – the resin is then immediately ready for use again. During this phase, an integrated bypass ensures that tap water remains available. This means that the water supply is maintained in full even during regeneration.
Automatic hygiene function – protection during longer breaks
To ensure that the system remains hygienic, the KTW 32 automatically performs a time-controlled forced regeneration after no more than 7 days without operation. This function reliably prevents possible contamination of the resin bed – ideal for longer holiday periods, for example.
Durable, safe and comfortable
Depending on water hardness and consumption, one salt filling usually lasts three to four months. An integrated float valve with buoy reliably protects the cabinet from flooding. The Neomeris KTW 32 combines state-of-the-art technology, simple operation and maximum operational reliability – for permanently soft water and a noticeably better quality of life throughout the entire house.

You can check the water hardness in your local area on your water supplier’s website, for example. If you want to be absolutely sure, we’d be happy to supply you with the appropriate water hardness test kit so that you can determine the exact water hardness at your premises. You can find this in our shop under item no. 400007 DUROVAL® 1 drop = 0.1 °dH Drop Count Titration Test. This test kit is already included in the complete set with item no. 400005 Water hardness DUO test kit. Below you will find, for your guidance, sample calculations of the achievable volume of softened water for water hardness levels ranging from 3°dH to 40°dH.
Water softeners can be regenerated using either economy salting or full salting. With full salting, approximately 200 grams of salt are used per litre of softening resin for regeneration. With economy salting, however, only 120 grams are used. Regeneration using full salting fully restores the capacity. With economy salting, 80% of the softened water capacity is restored through regeneration, despite the significantly lower salt requirement. Based on your requirements, you can therefore determine the most suitable system for your needs.

Note: To ensure the water softener operates in a hygienically sound manner, the ion-exchange resin must be regenerated regularly – even if little or no water has been used.
In accordance with DIN EN 806-5 and the requirements of DVGW Worksheet W 510:
The water softener must carry out a regeneration cycle at least every 72 hours (3 days), regardless of water consumption.
This so-called forced regeneration serves to prevent microbial contamination of the ion exchange resin and ensures the long-term hygienic safety of the system.
