Testomat 2000 reagents are chemical substances that are used to measure water parameters in combination with the Testomat 2000 water analyser. Testomat 2000 is an automated analyser that provides fast and accurate measurement of various water parameters, including pH, chlorine, total hardness, carbonate hardness and other important parameters.
The use of Testomat 2000 reagents and the associated analyser is widely used in many applications, including water treatment, swimming pool treatment, aquaculture, food and beverage production. It is an effective tool for monitoring and improving water quality and optimising processes.
It is important to use the Testomat 2000 reagents according to the instructions and to store them carefully in order to obtain accurate and reliable results. Improper handling or storage can lead to incorrect measurements, which may result in undesirable results.

Testomat 2000 Reagent CL 2250 A 500 ml Chlorine Reagent CL 2250 A for Reliable Measurement of Free and Total Chlorine for Safe Water Treatment and System Protection The Testomat 2000 Reagent CL 2250 A, 500 ml bottle, is used for measuring total chlorine and free chlorine in water samples. The measuring range is 0.00–0.99 mg/l (resolution 0.01 mg/l) and 1.0–2.5 mg/l (resolution 0.1 mg/l). The CL 2250 A reagent can be used directly in Testomat 2000 CLF or CLT devices without transferring and is ideal for membrane protection in reverse osmosis systems. Where can the CL 2250 reagent be used to monitor chlorine? It can be used in: Testomat 2000® THCL® Testomat 2000® CLF Testomat 2000® CLT Testomat 2000® CLT self clean Why is measuring free and total chlorine so important? Measuring free and total chlorine is a central part of professional water monitoring. Free chlorine (e.g., hypochlorous acid and hypochlorite) is the disinfecting form and crucial for the microbiological safety of water. Total chlorine also includes combined chlorine (chloramines), which has disinfecting properties but is significantly less effective and can lead to odor and corrosion problems. Monitoring free and total chlorine is essential to ensure water quality, the effectiveness of disinfection, and to detect possible over-concentration in process water. In sensitive applications such as reverse osmosis systems, precise chlorine monitoring is particularly important because free chlorine can damage or destroy membranes. The CL 2250 A reagent supports safe process control, protects system components, and helps reliably maintain standard and limit values. Frequently asked questions How long does the indicator/reagent keep? The shelf life of an indicator is printed on the product label for each batch. In accordance with our terms and conditions, we deliver with a guaranteed minimum shelf life of 7 months. How much indicator is used per analysis? When it comes to indicator consumption, a distinction must first be made between TH indicators (e.g. TH 2005, 2025, 2050, etc.), which are used for the Testomat ECO, Testomat EVO TH, Testomat 2000 and Testomat Limit LT analysis devices, and the indicators for the Testomat 808 (300 series indicators, e.g. indicators 301, 305, etc.). The indicator consumption per analysis for the TH indicators is directly related to the limit value to be monitored. The higher this is, the higher the indicator consumption. For the Testomat 808 indicators (300 series), consumption is approximately 80 µl per analysis. By entering the operating data (analysis interval, limit value, etc.), the exact consumption or indicator requirement per year can be determined using our indicator consumption calculator: Indicators - Consumption calculator - Heyl Neomeris What sizes are available for the bottles and is there anything to bear in mind? The indicator is available in both 500 ml and 100 ml bottles. The analyser is delivered with the 500 ml bottle set up and the scope of delivery includes the screw cap with hole and insert for the screw cap of the 500 ml indicator bottle. To use 100 ml bottles, the bottle size must be changed to 100 ml in the basic programming, and the screw cap with hole and insert for the indicator must also be purchased (item no. 40143). Where can I find the safety data sheet? The safety data sheets can be found in the online shop (www.heylneomeris.shop) under the menu item – Service/Help – Downloads Safety Data Sheets. How can the indicator be disposed of? Disposal instructions can be found in section 13 of the safety data sheet. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with official regulations. Can the indicator still be used after the expiry date? The indicator can no longer be used after the expiry date. After the expiry date, accurate measurement results can no longer be guaranteed. What is the optimum storage temperature for the indicator? Section 7 of the safety data sheet contains all relevant information on storing the indicator. The recommended storage temperature should be between 15-25°C. Device warranty / guarantee Measurement errors when using third-party indicators! The use of third-party indicators can lead to large measurement deviations or measurement errors. Damage caused by foreign particles in the area of the dosing pump, measuring chamber or valves is also possible. The use of third-party indicators will void the warranty! Only use original Heyl indicators, which are specially designed to meet the requirements of the measuring devices and thus guarantee accurate measurement results.
