The surface-mounted resistance thermometer with aluminium protection fitting D 10 x 26 mm is suitable for indirect temperature measurement on pipes and other surfaces. Equipped with Pt1000 in a two-wire configuration, silicone connection cable and a cable length of 2500 mm, this version is particularly suitable for compact surface measurements from -50 to +180 °C.

This version is intended for indirect temperature measurement on surfaces where temperature should be measured without interfering with the medium. Therefore, the surface-mounted resistance thermometer is especially suitable for closed piping systems as well as other round or flat surfaces where quick and uncomplicated installation is required.

The aluminium protection fitting in D 10 x 26 mm makes this version particularly attractive for compact measuring points. Due to the low thermal mass and efficient heat transfer from the measuring point to the sensor, the design is intended to capture surface temperatures quickly. Especially where installation space is limited, this compact construction offers an advantage over other variants.

Temperature measurement is carried out using 1× Pt1000 in a two-wire configuration. Combined with the silicone connection cable, this version is designed for temperatures from -50 to +180 °C. This makes the variant suitable for applications where an extended temperature range is required while also using a Pt1000 signal. The 2500 mm long connection cable provides sufficient flexibility for installation and connection.

Installation is quick and uncomplicated, for example using tension straps or hose clamps. This eliminates the need for mechanical processing of the measuring point. This is particularly beneficial when retrofitting existing systems or creating an additional measuring point with minimal effort.

Since temperature is measured indirectly via the surface, measurement remains unaffected by flow conditions, pressure or chemical influences in the medium. For larger temperature differences between the measured medium and the surrounding environment, additional insulation may be useful. Optionally, thermal paste can also be applied to further improve heat transfer at the measuring point.
