Heyl Testoval Phosphate Test Kit – Measure Phosphate Quickly by Hand Colorimetric test kit for easy determination of phosphate (P₂O₅) in water The Heyl Testoval Phosphate Test Kit allows simple and reliable determination of phosphate content (P₂O₅) in water samples. Measurement is performed colorimetrically via a visual color comparison and covers a range of 0 to 10 mg/L. The kit is a practical color comparison set for manual analysis of phosphate in water samples. The color develops within minutes after adding the reagents. By diluting the water sample 1:10 with distilled water, the measurement range can be extended tenfold. The kit allows for approximately 180 analyses in total. Fast Phosphate Analysis in Water Using Color Comparison The colorimetric method enables rapid determination of phosphate without complex equipment. After adding the reagents, the resulting color intensity is compared with a reference scale, allowing direct reading of the phosphate level. Due to its simplicity, the kit is ideal for routine checks, spot measurements, and applications where fast and reliable results are required. Typical Applications of the Phosphate Test Kit Manual phosphate determination is important in many areas of water analysis, particularly where nutrient levels must be monitored. Even small excesses can lead to algae growth, oxygen depletion, and deteriorating water quality. Regular phosphate monitoring is critical for: Environmental monitoring: Protect water bodies from over-fertilization Water treatment: Ensure compliance with legal limits Industry & breweries: Maintain stable process and product quality Wastewater management: Monitor the performance of treatment plants The Heyl Phosphate Test Kit enables fast, reliable, and lab-independent monitoring on site, allowing early trend detection and targeted interventions.
Testoval Silicate Test Kit – Color Comparison for Rapid Analysis Reliable manual determination of dissolved silicate in water The Testoval Silicate Test Kit is designed for rapid, manual analysis of silicate content in water in the concentration range of 0–10 mg/l SiO₂. Individual values of 0.25 mg/l, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l, 2.5 mg/l, 5 mg/l, and 10 mg/l can be read using a visual color comparison. When reagents are added to the water sample, a characteristic color develops. The provided comparison scale allows easy reading of the concentration levels. By diluting the sample 1:10, the measurable range can be extended by a factor of 10. The kit allows for approximately 100 individual analyses, with each measurement taking about 19 minutes. Manual determination of dissolved silicate in water up to 10 mg/l The Testoval Silicate Test Kit enables reliable, manual analysis of dissolved silicate (SiO₂) in water. After adding the reagents, a characteristic color reaction occurs, which is evaluated using the included comparison scale. Diluting the water sample 1:10 allows flexible extension of the measurement range by a factor of 10. Why monitoring silicate in water is important Dissolved silicates play a crucial role in industrial water treatment, particularly in boiler feed water, cooling water, and reverse osmosis systems. Excessive silicate concentrations can lead to the formation of stubborn deposits (silicate scale), which are difficult to remove and significantly impair heat transfer and system efficiency. In membrane processes, silicate can also cause irreversible damage and significantly shorten membrane lifespan. Regular silicate monitoring allows early detection of limit exceedances, targeted process control, and prevention of costly system damage. The Testoval Silicate Test Kit thus supports safe process management and long-term operational reliability. Frequently asked questions How long do Heyl chemicals last? Replacement colour comparison kit (without cuvette), for rapid manual analysis of the aluminium content in water in the concentration range 0 to 1.5 mg/l Al. The Testoval Aluminium Colour Comparison Device is an analytical instrument that allows the aluminium content in water to be determined directly by colour comparison. To do this, place a water sample in a measuring tube and add the reagents. Then pour the liquid into a cuvette and insert it into the colour comparison device. After about six minutes, the water sample changes colour, which is then compared with the device’s colour scale. The individual values of 0 mg/l, 0.1 mg/l, 0.2 mg/l, 0.5 mg/l, 1 mg/l and 1.5 mg/l can be read off the colour comparison device by visual comparison. How does the colour comparison device work? The colour comparison device is part of the Testoval system. You take a defined water sample, add the appropriate reagents and observe the colour reaction. You then compare the resulting colour with the scale in the device to read the aluminium value. This method allows for quick and direct monitoring without the need for other measuring instruments. Features and benefits at a glance Used for simple manual determination of the aluminium content in water Supplied with an integrated colour scale that allows direct reading Practical for mobile testing and ad hoc checks Can be equipped with appropriate reagents as required
