The cabinet contains a GRP pressure vessel filled with high-quality ion exchange resin. The cabinet housing also serves as a container for regeneration salt for the production of brine (saline solution) and can hold up to 70 kg of salt. The system is completed by a Clack WS 1 CI water-controlled valve mounted on the GRP pressure bottle. The control valve has an easy-to-use microprocessor-controlled system with five buttons. The multifunction display with status indicator supports both metric and imperial units of measurement. CLACK WS 1 CI is made of sturdy, modular material without screws, reinforced with fibreglass. The front can be easily removed thanks to a click system, which makes maintenance simple. The CLACK WS 1 CI control valve is factory-set to ‘delayed volume-controlled regeneration’ (volume control). Controlling the quantity with the Clack WS 1 CI valve With a built-in water meter, the Clack WS 1 CI electronic water-volume-controlled valve determines the consumption of soft water. If the soft water flow reaches the preset volume, the regeneration phase does not begin immediately, but only at night. This regeneration takes place as follows: The calcium and magnesium ions (Ca2+ / Mg2+) must be completely removed from the ion exchange resin. To achieve this, the water softener automatically feeds a highly concentrated sodium chloride solution through the ion exchange resin. During this process, the resin is recharged with sodium ions (Na+). The calcium and magnesium ions (Ca2+ / Mg2+) are discharged into the waste water together with the excess salt solution via a separate drain. The resin can now be used again to soften tap water. During regeneration, the Neomeris water softening system provides 80 litres of untreated tap water via an integrated bypass, ensuring a continuous water supply. Forced regeneration in the absence The system's forced regeneration starts automatically on the 10th day of inactivity. This prevents germ formation in the resin bed. This forced regeneration is a safety regeneration that only takes place if no regeneration has occurred due to quantity control, such as during holidays. Reliably measure salt filling Depending on water hardness and consumption, one salt filling lasts for around 3 to 4 months. After this, new salt must be added.
